Provence

Rounding out our trip in Southern France, we headed to the Provence area near Avignon. Yup. Visited the bridge from where the popular French song originates. Again this area of France is filled with wine, cheese and bread. By the end so was I.

Marseille

The second largest city in France, Marseille is a bustling port town on the Mediterranean Sea. I’ve heard people complain about Marseille but I actually found it pleasant. People were friendly and weather was, like the rest of southern France this time of year, amazing!

Le Var

Le Var is in the south-eastern tip of France. Filled with good produce which in turn makes for great food and wine. Incredible Mediterranean climate helps as well. 😉

Corsica

The island of Corsica is just south west of the mainland of France. We only stayed on the island for 5 days but wished we had planned for a longer stay. Now we know. Mountainous and surrounded by the Mediterranean sea, the island is a gorgeous place with scenic views on pretty much every turn.

Nice is Nice

So it’s been a while since my last blog post. Sorry about that. I’ve got a good reason though! I was on vacation in Southern France.

The next few posts you’ll see my three weeks in Southern France starting here with Nice. Enjoy! I know I did. 🙂
