Getting a call from the Wall Street Journal always makes me feel pretty good. I’m always thrilled to shoot for such a prestigious paper.
They recently assigned me to shoot one of the founders of Mackage, a local fashion line of clothing. Here’s the article and photos below.

Happy 148th Canada day to all. Here is something I helped work on for Maclean’s Magazine for this special day: http://site.macleans.ca/canada148/index.html#canada148
Here are the videos I shot:
What better way to celebrate cold weather with cold ski resort photos? Yay!
Here’s the recent re:Porter magazine (Dec/Jan 2014/2015) issue. I was sent to the famous Quebec ski resort of Mont Tremblant.
Many don’t know it but there’s tons to do other than skiing at Tremblant. Check it out, especially when the weather is maybe a few degrees warmer!
Winkreative, the awesome design agency out of London (England),commissioned me to shoot a story of the Cambridge (Ontario) Lexus plant for Beyond Lexus Magazine. It is the only Lexus plant outside of Japan. It’s known for their excellent quality control of their series of RX350 SUV’s. Here’s a link to the shoot and article: http://www.lexus-int.com/magazine/issue3/lab/
Pork is probably my favourite meat. Yes, I’m a carnivore. Sorry.
Local ad agency, LG2 hired me to photograph some of their pork farmers for Le Porc du Québec’s new website: http://www.leporcduquebec.com/fr/eleveurs
McGill University has two huge campuses and many buildings within them. McGill News Magazine sent me to shoot some students/alumni/staff’s favourite places.
Porter sent me to New Brunswick for their “Weekender” section. I’ve never experienced the Acadian French accent first hand so it was quite surprising at how different it was to Quebecois.
This weekender follows the Acadian coastal drive that runs along the eastern coast of New Brunswick.

A few months ago, I got a dream assignment from the Wall Street Journal. What would this assignment be you ask? Traveling to the Andes to photograph the gorgeous mountains? No. Taking a portrait of Bill Murray, one of your all time favorite actors? Nope. Photographing the Montreal Canadiens roster? Nope again. No, it was to photograph our provinces’ most cherished and sometimes ridiculed junk food dish. Poutine.
I traveled over 600kms to photograph our national dish in the province of Quebec. I ate a lot of poutine and loved it. My stomach didn’t feel the same way though…
Here’s the article and photos below. Enjoy! I certainly did.
I will remember where I was when I heard the tragic news of the Lac Megantic train disaster. One year ago tomorrow, I was in the hospital with my wife and premature twins when I heard of the sad news.
Maclean’s sent me to Lac Megantic to document and replicate iconic images from one year ago. Here are the photos. Maclean’s website has a great interactive slider of the same before and after images below. Check it out here:
