Montreal is known for having some great designers. Here are four firms that I photographed for Azure last month.

Timmins Ontario wouldn’t be my first choice of destination but I was pleasantly surprised by the very kind and inviting people there. This was a shoot I did for re:Porter last year. I got to pet some moose and see the Shania Twain Center! I didn’t actually go inside though. I guess there’s a reason why it’s now closed.
For this month’s cover of re:Porter for Porter Airlines, I was assigned to shoot a story about Mont Tremblant ski resort. It’s the biggest ski resort in the Montreal area.
I hadn’t snowboarded or skied in over 3 years before this assignment. Luckily my assistant was great on his skis so he happily lugged my camera bag. It felt weird to be back on my board but it all came back to me after a few minutes!
Yesterday was the annual Infopresse LUX photography/illustration gallery/annual magazine launch in Montreal. I couldn’t attend because of wedding prep for this weekend. I was pleasantly surprised to hear that I won a Grand Prix for my Chernobyl series (http://willlew.com/blog/2011/04/19/chernobyl/).
Thanks to Infopresse and all the judges. Great way to kickoff a crazy weekend!

There probably won’t be any NHL hockey this year but there’s always major junior hockey that we can look forward to. At least these kids (for now) aren’t concerned about fighting about millions of $.
Sportsnet Magazine assigned me to photograph Daniel Audette. He was selected first overall in the QMJHL draft by the Sherbrooke Phoenix. If his name sounds familiar, it’s because his dad is Donald Audette, who played in the NHL and for the Habs for a few years. Talent runs in the family.
Here’s a video featuring my images with the WSJ: Wall Street Journal Video!
Yes. It’s been a while since I last posted. Sorry everyone and especially to all the folks that follow. I’m getting married in a couple months and that pretty much takes away most of my personal time! I have new found energy and will be posting at least once a week if not more! Stay tuned!
Here’s a recent shoot I did for the Wall Street Journal! I was excited to shoot for such a prestigious newspaper. The story is in their weekend section titled “Off Duty”. The shoot helped me rediscover Quebec City again! It’s definitely a beautiful city! Enjoy!

For this year’s Montreal Mirror BOM (Best of Montreal), I shot 3 local celebrities. Gabriel Nadeau-Dubois (CLASSE student group against tuition hikes), Chuck Hughes (chef at Garde Manger & Bremner) and Justin Trudeau (Liberal Party). BOM is pretty much what it means: Best of Montreal. Every year readers vote in different categories in Montreal Mirror’s Best of Montreal issue.
So here’s that double win I mentioned a few weeks ago. It’s finally up on the Applied Arts website. Check it out:
