Marseille

The second largest city in France, Marseille is a bustling port town on the Mediterranean Sea. I’ve heard people complain about Marseille but I actually found it pleasant. People were friendly and weather was, like the rest of southern France this time of year, amazing!

Le Var

Le Var is in the south-eastern tip of France. Filled with good produce which in turn makes for great food and wine. Incredible Mediterranean climate helps as well. 😉

Corsica

The island of Corsica is just south west of the mainland of France. We only stayed on the island for 5 days but wished we had planned for a longer stay. Now we know. Mountainous and surrounded by the Mediterranean sea, the island is a gorgeous place with scenic views on pretty much every turn.

Nice is Nice

So it’s been a while since my last blog post. Sorry about that. I’ve got a good reason though! I was on vacation in Southern France.

The next few posts you’ll see my three weeks in Southern France starting here with Nice. Enjoy! I know I did. 🙂

Cover for TimeOut Amsterdam

This is a bit of a late post but this is/was for the June issue of Time Out Amsterdam. Inspired by the “Cocktail” movie poster (http://eu.movieposter.com/poster/MPW-33707/Cocktail.html).

Animal “Friendly” Meat?

On a flight out to Berlin, my girlfriend decided to get a sandwich at the airport. Animal friendly meat? Really?

Berlin

Here’s a recent trip to Berlin. Rich with great history. Enjoy!

Grounded

Here’s a recent shoot I did with local/organic/in season produce, excluding the dragon fruit of course. I decided to shoot it because it’s such a cool looking fruit inside and out. These were bought from the Saturday organic market (again, minus the dragon fruit) around the corner. I wanted the images to feel like they were photographed underground ready to be harvested and the light to feel like it was piercing through the ground. Although the cross sectioned images on the right look as if the light is emanating from the vegetables/fruits.

I did eat every thing after, so no waste.

Life’s a beach

Actually more like dunes. Just over 25kms out west of Amsterdam are rolling dunes in the Zuid-Kennemerland. Beautiful and picturesque, it’s amazing to think that I’m still in Holland. Oh I did hit the beach after as well. Awesome day.

Tired and True

I was riding my bike last week and I spotted this unbelievably packed van. Funny thing was there were like 4 or 5 more tires lying just in front of this. Who ever stuffed these tires in probably has some mad Tetris skills.
