iPad owners!

Look how nice the blog looks on the iPad with this new wordpress plug-in:

I love the layout, design and navigation.
Almost wish this was the desktop browser as well… hmmmm. I think I’ll look into that! 🙂

Communist Museum

On a recent trip to Prague, Czech Republic, I visited the Communist Museum. I wasn’t expecting much but was surprised at how much information I got out of it. Some great cold war relics and fun things to shoot.
The museum definitely needed some money for upkeep but I actually liked it the way it was. Had character. Post-communist character!

PEI

Have been away for a bit but am back. Here is a diptych from Prince Edward Island, Canada in 2008. I’m standing in the same spot when I shot these two images. One is facing the sea, the other facing land. Love how they line up pretty well together. Enjoy!

Green Clean

Below is a series shot at Avmor, a company specializing in environmentally friendly cleaning products. Paul, shown in the images, was kind enough to show us around and gave a fantastic tour. Ended the tour with some great parting gifts. Best industrial/factory shoot ever! Haha!
The shoot was for “Your Business Magazine” which is a subset of Report on Business Magazine @ The Globe and Mail.

Katie Moore for the Montreal Mirror

On returning to Montreal for a couple of months, I landed a few shoots.
One of which was a cover shoot with the Montreal Mirror shooting singer/songwriter, Katie Moore (www.katiemoore.ca). She was patient, kind and willing to go with my idea about shooting with animals. I couldn’t find live animals in time (especially hard when the bird she was holding is extinct!), so I found stuffed ones instead…
The Montreal artist has a new album out next week. It’s called Montebello.

Some more dead plants

My girlfriend loves flowers. Tries to get new ones every week at the market around the corner. My only responsibility seems to have failed… sorry chili plant. I blame the harsh cold winter…

Simpsons Donuts

Some Dutch donuts look like they were taken straight out of Homer’s power plant office. oorrooooooohhhhhh…. (drool)… doooohnuuts….

Rainboots

love ’em puddle rings.

SinterKlaas

Thousands turn up each year for the SinterKlaas parade in Amsterdam. Sinterklaas has had a long standing tradition, here in the Netherlands. Just like back home, during this time of year, we have Santa Clause. Only that some things are very very different…
Anyhoo, my first Sinterklaas experience was weird but the kids were happy at least.

lost at sea…

of bikes. Yeah. This is normal at the Amsterdam Central Station.
